Special thanks to Omaha Deal Diva for sharing her lists too!

It appears that I have the same issue with Pinterest that I do with the library….I just can’t stop looking and thinking….oooohhhh I should try that!   It’s an addiction.

This Week’s Sales

So, granted this was only at a glance - — but those of you who are trying to save a buck should take note!

1 - The coupons this weekend were FANTASTIC.  If you can get extra copies, I’d do it - 3 sets in each Omaha paper, so good deal.

2 - HyVee sales this week, I think it’s Thurs-Sat.  3/$1 on mac & cheese, canned tomatoes, canned beans/corn, canned kidney beans, tomato sauce. And I think it was there I saw the 99 cent half gallon of milk!

3 - Fareway has roast this week for $1.99/lb!   Now, I don’t often get to Fareway (waiting for that one to open up on 90th by Dollar Tree & Dollar General that I haunt.)  BUT Walmart will price match, as will No Frills.

4 - Both Walgreens & CVS this week have 70 count Claritin for $34.99 AND there was a $10 off coupon (short expiration date) this week.  Really good price for something we’ve been using an awful lot of lately.  AND while you’re at Walgreens - check out the clearance toys.  I’ve begun my Christmas stash….  :)

I know I saw more - I will try to post more of what I see later today.   Now just to get caught up on my coupons so they can add to the savings!

Too much of a good thing?

Oh I do love Target - I really do.  It is big sales time there - they marked their dollar section down 70% off and I REALLY went to town.  But ok, 33 cents each - I can do that.

But now - to discover - ah their CLOTHES are marked down to 50% & 70% off. I’ve bought a dress & 3 shirts for myself….of course, the total was only $22.  and 3 baby girl outfits I couldn’t resist that I’ve set aside for my cousin’s baby shower (that is yet to be scheduled.)  And of course there were those couple little things I bought for Miss Sophia, our secretary’s darling little girl, because the price was right and I couldn’t walk by.

So a sale is a good thing, right?  Until you realize that even if you bought it on sale, it cost you more than if you hadn’t bought it at all.  *sigh*  I’m not sure it’s going to stop me, just so you know.

This looks like a piece of heaven to me.  Book, coffee, beautiful scenery - and we’ll just imagine that jelly there is strawberry-rhubarb on a piece of sour dough toast.   It takes so little to keep me happy…..so when can I schedule this????

Parenting is NOT for the weak of heart.

My daughter - my beautiful daughter - is killing me.  She takes sassy to a whole new level - add to it that she stole Connor’s brand new pokemon cards that he bought for himself with his garage sale money and my frustration level is maxed.  Two weeks of grounding - one with no computer/TV and one with limited computer/TV to an hour a day (combined).   She has to buy Connor a new pack of the cards she stole (even though she returned them….well most of them….we mysteriously “just dont’ know” where a few of them are at.

AND YET - she started in again this morning.  Yes I brushed my teeth.  ”Did you use toothpaste?”  Well Connor doesn’t.  *sigh* “Yes, he does.”  NUH_UH!  *stomp stomp stomp*   CONNNNNNNOOOOORRRR!   You stole my toothpaste!!!!!!

And - “Did you comb your hair?”  Yes.   “Really?”   I said yes.  ”You need to do it again because it’s still tangled.”  MOOOMMMMMM….  ”Delaney - now.”   Ok.   So she combs it again…. and yet….   “Um, Delaney the hair.”  I KNOW!  ”Did you comb it?”  YES!  ”Come here I need to comb it.”  MOMMMMMMMM…..you’re hurting me.  Ow ow ow ow ….mom listen…..mom stop….mom listen.

All this resulting in escalation you don’t need to hear.  Resulting in further grounding.  She may never live to see 10.
